Exploration University

Background

Exploration University is a new Saturday program offered by Marquardt School District 15. It provides engaging, problem-based learning opportunities for K-8 students outside of the typical school week. Students apply their knowledge in all content areas while also further developing their collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity skills.

Registration is on a first-come basis and is free for families. Free transportation is offered for students whose addresses are within district boundaries and that fall outside of walking distance.

The curriculum is focused on STREAM, specifically in areas of engineering. EU’s goal and mission is to empower children to become lifelong STREAM learners and passionate problem solvers.

Marquardt School District 15 is partnering with Northern Illinois University to provide a co-teaching model between MSD15 teachers and college students currently studying education.

Please contact your school principal with any questions. All COVID-19 mitigations will be followed on school grounds.

Session 2 dates: February 18th to May 20th

No classes on March 25th, April 1st, April 8th, and May 13th.
